I'm not about limiting anyone. In fact, I'm all about freedom for all. Hence my work in our community.

I'm not saying nor will I say to take growing out of the hands of caregivers. What I am saying is that with the amount of people this will force to grow fires will happen. To that extent, I don't think it is a wise idea to pass this bill. The potential risk of a drastic increase of structure fires thoughout Colorado's neighborhoods is one (of many) GOOD reason not to pass this bill and I think we can make real headway with this argument against the bill.

Again, let me say I'm NOT trying to keep caregivers from growing. I'm trying to keep this bill from passing and this is one very good reason this bill should not pass. That is what I'm saying.

So, if you're a small caregiver of 5 or less I'm not trying to limit you! The only thing I wanna see burn is a big ol fat bowl.

What to do after the passing of HB 1284 this morning?

Guys, having SEVERAL close friends in law enforcement, including DCI and DEA undercover positions (And for the record, I would NEVER, EVER talk shit on the internet or in real life about this, or any other thing really, but you gotta hear me) and unless we're breaking some serious laws, the odds of being popped for anything is slim to none. They may know about you, but unless you are A. Breaking some other laws that they cannot get you on or B. Are a community menace and NEED to be locked up or C. You ARE a power player, then there is almost NO chance to get clipped. My dad did 3 LONG bids in Wyoming, all for petty ass MJ charges, BUT he was the town bad boy, and they made it stick, you know. So I know a LOT (compared to the layman) about how and why "they"do what they do.

Besides, when we become organized and funded, IF a person were to get arrested for something legit, it would make the NEWS, we'll pay to boost you out (Unless you pull some SERIOUS shit, in which case you've dishonored the cause and SHOULD be in jail) and then we'll turn it into a media circus. Trust me on this one. Knowing how to create a sensation is KEY. If somebody were to honestly get popped, at LEAST myself (an hopefully others would join) will find an open public place, and I will water fast (Not just to gain attention, because with the right heart there is an UNREAL amount of Spiritual power released when you reject earthly food for "Heavenly Justice") until it reaches the people. I have a friend who is the news director at one of the 3 major networks, and I've been in contact with the appropriate reporters from The Denver Post and have had contact with national reporters in the past, including one whom I recently got back into touch with from Rolling Stone. Trust me, when people expose themselves and don't have anything but water for a couple of weeks to bring attention to a righteous cause, it's pretty cool.

You all need to listen to "Something's Happening Here" a few times.

And where is that FaceBook link??

So where are all these fires now? My guess is there are over 10,000 people growing in their house now and yet I have not heard of one fire from a grow other than some assclowns trying to make hash with butane. If you listen to the media and the DEA though one would think we're making nuclear weapons. I read one DEA agent telling the media that growers use oxygen tanks to grow bigger plants and they could explode an entire neighborhood, and of course the reporter prints it without checking facts.

I'm a little freaked out about accepting the invitation on Facebook. I'm not comfortable about giving out my real name at this point!

We need GOOD reasons to defeat this bill. This is a good and plausible reason with real potential of causing fires. We need ALL the good reasons and not those that have already been beat to death. We need fresh arguments and the potential risk of fire is one of them.

So if we want to lose this one and lose BIG then lets just keep telling them we need our meds (which they already know and don't really care) as our primary argument and watch them whip this bill right on though. TBH, we should not be here debating this point we should be on the phone to all the house members with fresh new arguments of why not to pass this bill. Which we all know will nearly kill MMJ as we now know it in Colorado if enacted and left uncontested. As I said before though, even after this passes (and it will) we still have a gaggle of lawyers who are just itching to file the paperwork for the impending lawsuit when this passes. But, we should do everything we can BEFORE that point so we don't end up waisting MORE money on bad bills that range well into the thousands and thousands of dollars to pay the legislature to come up with stupid bills like Romer's 109 or 1284. When the suit is filed, then money has to be spent on lawyers, court costs, research, submissions/petitions/briefs to the court, evidence gathering/submission, in court time, blah, blah, blah. This ALL costs money and who ends up paying in the end? You, me, and the rest of the tax payers here in the great state of Colorado! We've waisted enough money we don't have on this insipid bill; letâ??s not waist any more money if we can at all avoid it.

So please see my argument for what it is and not for what itâ??s not. It is a GOOD reason NOT to pass this bill, no more; no less. I'm not trying to limit people. In fact, it's been a driving force in my life to fight for "freedom" for all.

This wasnâ??t the debate I expected to have over my post. I thought others would find wording offensive.

My bad, I thought you were trying to argue against home growers, sorry.

You are correct we need fresh points to make, I dont know how 'fresh' it is because I've been saying it since day one but I dont hear anyone bringing it up. But what makes Romer think the DEA is just going to sit back and do nothing with these thousand plant grows? I heard him say yesterday that dispensaries will be able to grow without fear of prosecution, he cant possibly know what the DEA is going to do. Just last week they raided a warehouse grow in Denver. A couple of busts on these guys will effectively kill MMJ in Colorado since there will only be a few left after this bill becomes law.
