I want to try some other dispensaries - have question

I've only been to one and only a few of times at that (I buy 1/2 z's each time so I don't have to hassle with weekly trips).

When I go to a new place will they only need to see my Dr's certification sheet and my ID?

I could understand how they might want to see my receipt from the CDPHE showing that I turned my paperwork/$ in and that 35 days has passed with no rejection.

But why would they need to see my MMR app form? Can I not to give it to them or black out my social security #? I don't want that info all over town.

Also what kind of paperwork am I going to be required to fill out?

Any advice or experiences would be great.

Any dispensary owners on here want to chime in? Could result in a new customer.

    Cheers!

Most places are going to want to see your app also. Some will also want to see your mail receipt too.

Most places understand if you black-out your SSN.

Typically about 4 or 5 pages, initially off things like you won't use on/around premises, so called HIPPA forms (which in my opinion are bogus), and temporary caregivership (while on premises)

Make copies of all your paperwork, black-out your SSN on the copies, and bring those in with you. The last thing you want is to lose your only copy!

As far as experiences, there are some very good places out there and lots of crappy ones. Don't know what part of town/State you're in so kinda hard to recommend. Probably easier to either let us know what area you want to shop or post the name here and see if anyone has checked them out.

We need your ID, Physicians Statement and for you to fill out our rules and regulations. The Physicians statement is what's needed to have a affirmative defense. But every dispensary has there own set of rules regarding this. Law enforcement is another thing, you should carry as much proof as possible like receipt of registered mail, application etc.

    Thanks ThaiBuddhaMan and GratefulMeds,

I'm in Denver and wanna check out some of the places which have owners or employees that post here and get a positive vibe from the forum community.

Copies? I got copies stashed everywhere! Cars, drawers, refrigerator, etc. Lol!

Cool thing is I don't have a mail receipt, I have the actual CDPHE vital records service transaction receipt that I got before the health department changed that.

Good to know I can black out my social #.

@Thai has anyone every given you a hard time about that?

@Grateful are you cool with this procedure too?

I guess copies get made of my paperwork? Is this the case?

    Cheers!

Be prepared to be overwhelmed by Grateful's selection. One could easily spend hours the first time there!!!

I've never had any place give me grief about blacking out my SSN. As a matter of fact, the first place I went into, I didn't have it blacked out and they suggested & offered to do it.

You sound like me - I had copies stashed everywhere! Just in case! Now that I have my red card though, you're not supposed to make copies of it. Not sure how that's going to work now. Wish one was allowed to laminate it, as I just don't see it lasting very long in my wallet!

Places in Denver: Delta9, Pure, Herbal Elements, ReLeaf are all here on this & other boards. The only I haven't been to yet is ReLeaf, but hope to change that soon. I think they might be another one or two here on the board, but don't remember them off the top of my head.

We usually recommend blacking out the first five, since the last four will be on your physical card. If you have it fully blacked out, that's okay too. We like it if you have your app form, but it's not required. We do have 9 pages of paperwork to fill out, but you only have to do it once. We're very thorough, trying to go above and beyond so we never have issues with city/state compliance.

You are very welcome to come in and check out our wonderful lineup at New Options Wellness.com, at 2885 Aurora Ave No. 40, Boulder CO 80303, just off Hwy 36 and Baseline. Our phone is 720-266-9967. We do ask for a copy of the original appl, but no problem blacking out the first 5 digits. We take a copy of your DL, Physician rec showing the notary seal or stamp, and sign a hippa form and you're good to go - takes under 5 minutes. N.O.W. has a great selection of organic premium strains, super concentrates/hash from pressed kiefs to "taffy" bubble hash, to NON-butane oil (we strongly warn against butane or other toxic chemical solvents which are loaded with heavy metals and bad crap!) we call Midnight Oil. And our Medibles are incredibles! We also have a VIP program (CG assignment) which gives you free gifts at stages including a vaporizer, and good discounts on almost everything! We also have $7 grams and $25 eighths in the "salad bowl" often with some really good bud in it, and deep discounts on vaporizers ($199 Iolites & SSV), grinders, and even grow eqmt at deep discounts via our sister company TheProGrower.com which site should be up soon. TPG also does professional consult-design-build services for any size grow up to "bud factories"!
