If you agree with this last effort, pass this on immediately.
If your happy with this desecration of our constitution for greed....delete it!
VETO March on the Governors Mansion
Gather at the Civic Center Park 5-15 @ 11 AM
If we can gather a large assembly of people, 1000 or more we will walk to the Governor's Mansion. If only a few show up, we can just demonstrate along Broadway St. across from the Capitol. This is a Constitutional Right to Assemble for a VETO March!
As a Nationally Certified alternative care Naturopath, Master Herbalist, Homeopath and Holistic Nutritional consultant trained in degenerative disease and maintaining wellness for 33 years, I am appalled at the disregard
of the voice of the people to the Legislators and Senators of this state concerning HB10-1284 and SB10-109
I am pleading with everyone to call, email and fax letters to the Capitol. HB10-1284 must be stopped. Amendment 20, Article XVlll, section 14 of the Colorado constitution was trampled on by the large majority of ELECTED Officials today at the Capitol. If you are a caregiver that is not a dispensary, L.140 amendment holds you to NO more than 30 plants TOTAL for your 5 patients. Only a dispensary will be able to provide the needed access of additional medicine. I have been in support of a dispensary model, however this is over the top!
It was also very insulting to the patients of Colorado with degenerative illnesses to listen to the puns and jokes out of Romer's mouth, he even made a joke about the senators with MMJ licenses.......This was to insinuate why they were not supportive of this bill. Romer referred to more than 50% of dispensary owners are Thugs. Spence said she doesn't support organized crime, insinuating that the dispensaries that will be put out of business are the ones with organized crime money.
There will be a 3rd reading of this bill. This session is over next week!
Do Not Waste Time.........call, fax and email. This is an ELECTION YEAR Let them know if you are their constituent, tell them you are paying attention to the votes and you want them to VOTE NO on the 3rd reading!!!
If this does not get their attention, all we have left is to PICKETT the Governor's mansion!!!
Let's set a date of May 15th to organize at the Civic Center Park at 11 am. Bring Large VETO Signs with the bill numbers on them, bring every ADULT you can round up and let's walk from the park to the Governor's mansion and have a peaceful public gathering to send the Governor a loud and clear message!!!
We must mount an army of people for this. A few hundred to show up is not acceptable, we need a thousand or more to get his attention!!!
I hope that everyone will go into the voting booths in NOVEMBER and VOTE NO on every Legislator and Senator that VOTED on these bills passage to allow a monopoly to the large dispensaries and blatantly walked all over our constitutional rights!!!
Sincerely,
Kimberly Matteo, N.D., M.H.

What is the intended focus of the website? Is it an auction site to generate funds? A forum site for discussing ideas? A patient/caregiver connection site?
When dispensaries start to go, I think a patient/caregiver connection site will be very helpful! A private, referral-only type board would be kinda cool!

Here's where I am at. Mark is a KEY man here. He's been on the floor, knows the bills and the inner workings and what not. We NEED him or someone like him. Although I would prefer it to be him. His character and dedication to the game and the State of Colorado are unquestionable.
As far as the website goes. I see it as being multi-functional. If/When we do the auction, we'll need bandwidth and hi-res for that, but more than that, we need a clearing house that EVERYONE in the state to go to and learn about what's up and how they can get involved. I LOVE what Lampost said about hooking caregivers and patients up. I have a design that I can show the webmaster that is already functional that would be PERFECT. Some areas can be "read only" or "invite only" and others wide open. I humbly ask that I am involved in the website design in some way.
We're almost all in Denver/Boulder/Ned, but this is a state issue. We MUST remember that the people we are trying to reach are busy, and many are not of the highest reading capacity, so we MUST get all this legal gobbilty-gook into layman's terms I know I need it broken down for me, again, Mark and Rob and then a "translator" to get it broken down with suggestions for actions to be taken.
We need a SIMPLE, catchy name AND then a logo. We need to define what who and what we are, what were are about, and what we intend to do. I'll say right now, that I cannot see how the long term goal of the group can be anything less than legalization for both MJ and HEMP. We can literally change the country with hemp. No more nonsense like Vladez and what's going on in the Gulf.
The wealthy card holders will not, like many others, and for very good reason, come on board until we have put into very clear writing what we are, what our focus and goals are, and how we will achieve those ends. It may take a while for the wheels to turn while we're in "low gear". But momentum WILL swing our way IF we work hard and keep the dream as our common focus. I don't care who you vote for, what you eat, who/what you sleep with.... If you see MJ and HEMP for what they are, and want to free them, then you are a freedom fighter, and you are my friend.
Right now, the first thing we MUST do, (Beyond establishing a small "leadership team", which I'm not sure how to go about putting together) is we MUST get to the dispensaries and get the word out to their people about us, our cause and the site. We can hit 500 doors and reach how many THOUSANDS of people if the owners feel our sincerity? But once the doors get closed, we'll most likely lose contact with thousands of what would seem to me, GUARANTEED ALLIES. We have what, 7 weeks? Clock's ticking.
We need to get a name, a website, and that flyer printed up. AND THEY NEED TO LOOK GOOD! No crap!! Second hand trash gets treated like as such. I know a little about marketing and the branding mindset of Americans. Ironically, what blinds them to the brainwashing of the programming they ingest 24/7 also makes them easy to target when the cause is worthwhile. It's not rocket science. but it IS science. I gotta ask for your trust on this one. We then need to train ourselves up together so that when we go into dispensaries, they KNOW we're legit and will back our play. If you go in all stumbling and unsure, they'll be unsure, and we don't have the time for practice runs.
That''s how I see it.
What say you all???

GM, or somebody, PLEASE remind me of the VETO march. Maybe the willing could meet up somewhere right before that? Let's keep putting things together until then. Mark, are you able to meet with me (and anyone else who wants to ride up to Ned with me) beforehand. We have much work to do.
