    Smart Meter and in Apartment....??

So i live in SF and just had a smart meter installed on my building. i live in a 6 unit building that each apt has their own meters and pay our own pge. we just had smartmeters installed and was wondering if now my landlord will have access to my on/off power consumption periods. ?? ive been doing it for a year and half and have never had a problem, but am just concerned my landlord will see the cycles. or do they not have access to that since the bill is in my name and i pay the pge?

Hmm, that's a really good question.

I have a lot of buddies in the SF area proper and this might cause them some trouble too.

There are a lot of good answers on this page:

    Smart Meter Frequently Asked Questions

But as I'm looking at the answers, I'm not sure any of them can help you with your questions. And I guess you can't call someone up and ask them about whether your grow is going to be affected.

It sort of sounds like you're going to have the same sort of setup, but it does look like the electricity is on a flat rate fee now. That sounds a little pricey to me.
