Pretty sure he meant pots, call me crazy, but I didn't see mention of pellets. Though I do think peat pellets are for shit, they seem to stay wet forever, and don't work well for rooting cuts. I'd advise anyone to stay away from them if you can.

Just a quick update. Remarkably quick growth with the HPS/LED combo going. Great branching, very deep green color, zero leaf drop, everything is a-ok:thumbsup: Temps have been stable around 80 with lights on.
Side note, in lieu of running the second HPS I invested in a second LED bar so I can run the two side by side. I'm curious to see how it plays out. Definitely can tell that the watering schedule needs to be backed off with LED, I'm used to much higher temps and quicker drying pots. MUST let them completely dry out, no exceptions.
Here's a couple of pics from today.

Wow irydyum its only been 4 days from the last pic you posted. Almost an understatement as to quick growth and great branching. What was the last strain in the pic posted on the 26th. She looks like a beauty:thumbsup:

I don't know if I'll do an all LED run or not. Hard to say, maybe I'll be convinced to try after this run. I have always loved my HPS and that's a love affair I don't want to give up on, it's always treated me very well. I'm just interested to see what the combination does in flower.

I agree....we used the peat pots for our girls and the transplanting was so easy and stress-free for us and the girls. As long as the soil is kept moist so the pots are a little moist, the roots will get through okay. In fact, when we transplanted, a couple of the girls were almost rootbound, as we hadn't thought to lift the peat pots out the containers to check for roots. No harm done though and girls loved thier new homes, no signs of stress at all, which I am more than positive was due to not having to disturb them during the transplanting. I'd certainly use peat pots again!
The grow is looking good  LEDs are getting more and more popular during grows be it part grow of complete grow using them. Always nervewracking moving out of your own comfort zone though! Some day I might try the LEDs, as I do like the results you guys are getting, but I'll wait a while until I'm not such a novice....practice makes perfect as they say
Keep on keeping on :rastasmoke:
