Silicone works good for small leaks on plastic, must be clean and dry to work. If you mean while full, I have no idea.

If full there are quite a few 2 part sealers made for plumbing that should work, read label good since not sure if safe around plants and as already mentioned there is aquarium silicone

If you mean while the sprayers are a spraying ? You might need a new rez design. We are working with a areocloner that is doing alright but we are located part to make our own. It has to be where water that is sprayed up doesn't run down the sides of the lid and leak all over.

If it's the other leak then you need to tell us what type material.

    Hi, Guy's. I bet it's leaking when it's spraying.

My system used to leak out of the net pots. I wrapped electric tape around the top part of the net pot and it stopped leaking. I now am fighting some leaking down the sides of the res. My sprayers are a bit high I imagine. I was thinking about using silicon around the rim of the rubbermaid container. I do not know though. I need some advice too. electric tape works great for the pots.
Do you guys think silicon would work. Putting it on the cover and the container and letting it dry. Kind of like a rubbery seal. I still want to be able to take the top off.
    any suggestions?????
I tried electric tape for the res... that only works for the net pots.

I was going to start the same thread. I guess I will use this one. When I get around to it I will post pics of what I made.
    Post up yours too.

i did 2 things and both work pretty well.the first thing i did b4 thinking of the next one was to get the 1/2 inch foam with a sticky back and i dried off the top of the rim and cut it to fit the sides and ends so when you pop the top back on it makes a seal. then i thought of a better way but takes alil more time.i cut some panda wrap the wxl of the bin and cut it then cut about a 3inches wide or enough to hang down past the lip of the bin.then i hot glued it to the underside of the lid.that way when you put the lid on the panda flaps hang down past the lip of the bin.so when the spray will now hit it and drop back down in the bin.hope this helps you all.....

btw with the 2nd fix you don't have to do the first one.:stoned:

oh yea forgot to add sealers are a bad idea as you want to be able to take lid off when needed...
