help needed plz.. Ph 2 alkalie.. Need pros opinions cheers

Best ph kit you can get is a ph pen. Brand name is up to you but I got a Hanna auto temp compinsate and think it is junky. Takes a long time dipped in the water to get a compleate reading, but that's just my opinion. Cheap ph pens work fine but are a little less acurate than the ones the calculate temp while getting the ph. Also I think I told you in a thread a long time ago that those meters are junk and only for old ladies growing roses outside. But there was someone I forgot saying it was a must have. With a ph pen you know EXACTLy what ph water/nutes going in and you can check the run-off for the ph coming out. Search the forum for stinkyatticks soil runofftest

I have one of those ph meters. Every time I use it "used too" I would get the same reading. I do not think I ever got a reading that was not 7.

I take that back while writing this I just stuck mine in the bottle of pH down and it read 4. Thats a first.
    edit: pH up read 7

my opinion is that is giving bad advice telling anyone not to flush, it's only downside is it's a pain in the neck to do. but regular flushing is needed. anybody can grow weed, it's not hard, it takes someone special and willing to take the time to take it to it's full potential.
i do two types of flushing at different times. the first is i'll take the plant to the tub and run a flush, sometimes i use RO water and sometimes i'll add some of my well water or low level nutes. the other flush i do is a soak where i'll submerge the entire pot into water, this helps eliminate dry pockets where your roots are not getting water. you don't have to flush, ever, and yes your plant will still grow just fine. but if you would rather have your soil filled with fresh USEABLE nutrients than solidified salts, then yes you need to flush. another benefit that comes to mind is you'll have a much cleaner plant, which leads to a cleaner smoke, an easier flush prior to harvest and my meds will always burn to a light gray ash. mmmmmmmmmmmm...
i have a lot of plants to care for, so that means i cannot waste my time doing meaningless tasks. i don't have years of experience myself, but am i knowledgable and i am "watched over" by veteran growers, who sometimes look at me funny for doing things overboard, but in turn understand the benefit of doing it and often times they'll put a method to my maddness making it easier.
