Marijuana and seizures?

Ok, so I'm 20 years old and I have been smoking marijuana for about 3 years, almost on a daily basis. I was smoking a blunt with some friends a few days ago, I took my first hit in rotation like normal, when I noticed that it tasted different. I mentioned the taste and everybody agreed with me. About 10 minutes later, I began to feel my legs twitching, then my vision start to blur and then feeling like I was going to pass out. I was sitting in a chair watching TV...and then I woke up. I was very disoriented and my heart was racing; I had no idea what had happened, I was gasping for breath, and my whole body was tingling.
My friends who were with me both had experience with seizures before (one has seizures herself and one has viewed people who have experienced them). They said I started making grunting noises and then went limp. After going limp they told me I got stiff and then began shaking and convulsing. They called the police and I was taken in an ambulance to the emergency room. The police kept asking me for the weed, but it was all gone. They wanted to test it to see if it was laced.
I had blood taken and an CAT scan done. The doctors said that there was nothing abnormal about my brain, and that nothing in my brain caused the seizure. They immediately assumed it was from the weed. I'm not a doctor (obviously lol), but I have been smoking for about 3 years and have never had an experience like this. I'm not epileptic either.
Has anyone ever had an experience like this before, or can someone give me some insight on this problem? The doctors told me to keep away from any drugs or alcohol, and to take it easy for a few days. I smoke every day, so its hard for me to abruptly stop, and I just want to know if it is safe for me to smoke again, although I'm very scared to do so. Thank you for any advice/help you can offer.

not much i can say but its happend to me before only friends didnt take me to the hospital they gave me some water to calm down and finish the blunt lol dont know if the situation is bad but it happend once to me and i smoke an been smoking for 6years. twic to my friend second he didtn pass out all the way like his first but still is smoking ...

I have to agree with washougal, most likely something in that weed triggered you to have a seizure but it could have been a combination of things. My bro has epilepsy and he's saying it could have to do with you're tolerance as well, We're you drinking? Did you smoke at all 24 hours before smoking the blunt? Sleep deprevation along with having a low dose of meds in you're system(forget to take them), empty stomach, etc, any of those coupled with a high dose of thc can trigger a seizure.

Definately had something in it. Some dealers here mix cocaine, mephedrone or other powdered drugs with water and spray it on the plants so that when its smoked a stronger high is achieved and thus their customers may think its 'good weed' so they get repeat custom, making them more money.

If he just passed out and didn't have a seizure his friends wouldn't have called 911. You don't grunt, get stiff and start convulsing after passing out from smoking too much.

Just realized that you don't have a past of seizures. I would really take it easy bro and talk to you're friend that has seizures. Take every precaution you can, chill out on smoking, especially schwag and mids which are the most known for being laced, nobody needs to lace good bud. I'd definitely take it easy, make sure you get enough sleep, and be careful not to get stressed at all. Theres a lot of things that can trigger seizures. I've blacked out from smoking schwag before, when you smoke cheap shit you're just asking to inhale mold spores and who knows what else.

Exactly, I really regret smoking as much schwag as I have. I tried telling my buddies that smoke 10 blunts a day but some people never learn.

Yeah, from all of the things I've been reading, many people have mentioned not having enough sleep, or not getting enough to eat, combined with high doses of THC. I had been smoking almost all day, and I can't quite remember if I got enough to eat; although I do recall that I hadn't gotten enough sleep for the past few days...I guess the combination could've triggered a seizure. I wasn't drinking or doing any other drugs that day (unless the weed was laced), but 4 of my other friends were there and none of them experienced anything like that. i dont think my weed has ever been laced mabye when i was a little kid getting street weed in middle school then id beleive it but i know for a fact that around the time it happend to me i wasnt eating good and wasnt well hydrated either that day .the weed was dank too i never smoke mids or schwag .. i do inhale my hit for too long so all that triggered my 'passin out' and my friends for the same reasons right after a cup of water or liquid would make us feel better .maybe yours was laced
