Auto dwarf grow...
Ok so I dimmed my hps down to 360w and the temps were doable... when the lights click on it will be on 400w. Had some issues with venting into the crawl space so I have to deal with the hood venting into the room. Makes it real hot!
Hopefully most of the time I can run the hps on at least 400w. If its a real HOT day then I will turn the hps off and run them under the UFO until it cools down..

Why not keep the UFO running side by side regardless? Very very little heat and nice added light source. Over time you'll be able to dial in the HPS to what is needed. Just a thought.

Ok so we are at 2 weeks. I expected them to be angry with me after the transplant but they kept on growing.
From everything ive read it says they dont start really growing until 3+ weeks. Hope thats true because they are still small as shit.
The Pakistan Ryders and the White Dwarf are still much bigger than the rest. The White Dwarf has such a great smell already. Skunky!! Amazing how a little thing can smell so nice.

Need to get some better pics of the Taigas in the morning.

Whats up everyone...
Got some updates and some pics.
The Pakistan Ryder and White Dwarf are doing great. The Taigas are still very small and all three look funny. The Blue Mystic is a little unhappy today... maybe she wants a transplant but I dont want her to grow too fast.
So far im disapointed in the Taiga plants but they arent even close to being done so I dont want to pass judgement yet.
They should be getting their first nutes next watering. Hopefully there will be mass explosive growth! One can only wish... :stoned:
Have been able to run the HPS on 400w the whole time so far. Was woken up by my temperature alarm once when it hit 90F at about 4am. Other than that the tent has been reasonable with highs in mid 80s. Sometimes 88F. Right now its running smooth at 79F.
I had lowered the light a few days ago as well. The White Dwarf has tiny delicate leaves compared to the PR. The night it got 90f seems to have mildly burned the tips on the newest growth of the WD.

Glad to hear that you haven't totally gotten rid of the big bulb, but yeah, the heat from them can be a b!tch... I had to add five fans to my closet to properly move enough air for it to work. I have one intake, three small ones that stir the air in a vortex (and move heat off the bulb), and two exhaust fans at different stages. I estimate that with all fans on, I am moving 100-130cfm through the tent/closet at any given time, with NO dead air spaces.
Don't worry about their size too much, and be prepared to transplant 'em a few times before their final containers...
Keep up the good work!

Whats up?
Ok so almost halfway done... Its week 3 and they are all showing their sex but one. Gave the big ones their first dose of 1/4str nutes today. There is still one taiga that i have almost given up on.
The white dwarf is so much more sensative to heat than the other strains. Tried to find the coolest spot for her which is close to the fan.
The taigas are smelling almost as good as the WD... yummy! The White Dwarf seems to be the furthest along. Multiple sites with female flowers developing.
I will get some pics up maybe tomorrow.

...I had one plant that had been rootbound early on (finally corrected that!), and though it was always showing signs of growth, it was way behind the others. I kept it, though, because it had insanely tight internode spacing, and was kinda growing like a true bonsai all on its own.
Sadly, on my first real fan malfunction, I cooked it. Mehupe. Cooked another promising seedling alongside 'er that was coming up fast. Sigh.
My big girls recovered fine... though I realize that I really gotta get caught up on my own logging here soon...
If you can give the little one space (and time), and hey--check to see if it's rootbound--it might grow up to be a nice healthy plant, or perhaps a self-initiated bonsai mum for others to grow from!
Or it might make a nice cup o' tea, if it don't shape up!
