It looks like nute companies use the one with sulfur. There is sulfur in sweet and sulfur in flora nectar. I have read unsulphured and this is why I ask.

Not just Rusty, pretty much every grower I have seen who uses Molasses uses the unsulphured variety.

You don't really want sulfur building-up in your medium.
1/2 to 1 teaspoon (not tablespoon) per gallon of properly ph'd water. I use it on a non-feeding day, once a week.

thats the kind I have. good.
I ran out of sweet. i just added 100ppm (ecx500) of it to my res. That came to about 1/2 teaspoon per gallon. sounds about right.

Always start on the low side, and watch for effects regardless of the product. Since I don't know what other molasses or sugar product(s) you're using, I'd recommend possibly less. (molasses is stronger than carbo-load and CalMag products)

I think I might be using to much cal-mag.
here is what I am running (ecx500):
    cal-mag 200ppm
    PBP bloom 300ppm
    blackstrap 100ppm

I was going to also add a bloom booster tonight. I forgot to yesterday.
I am going to start flushing in about a week. I might have a bit too much cal-mag in my solution right now since I added the molasses. Should I mellow out on the cal-mag.

Way too much calmag, for sure. I'd cut that by about 1/2.

I know. I was not fully aware of all the cal in molasses.
I am going to drain half my res top with base and a p-k additive. My plants are really close.
I am not used to molasses. There is no cal in sweet and that is what I normally use. This stuff is loaded.
