and to the young lady who thanked her parents for the OUTPUT of support and a step up in life,the chance to do good with ya life EVEN though they have different ideas of what is what,
i thank you for them.and ask that you tell them you recognize what they have done for you, becuase trust me here parents need to hear it from your lips now and then ,dont assume they know it,
i have a kids ages 15 and 17 ,who think im a hard ass strict parent becuase i keep myself ready to "be there when needed" i except the fact i cant be liked by them at all times,that they will feel hate towards me for punishments.
i dont meddle in their lives as much as i can avoid it, but i make sure i know where they are at all times and if i dont know where they are,who they are hanging with ect,They wont get to go anywhere anytime soon,
its a fact Nobody is safe and no parent can protect a child from all forms of harm,yet we want to and we try to ,sometimes with sad results.

my 15 yr old was gonna stay at one friends,she ended up at another ones house,(who's mom deals btw)that i FORBID her to even be there,let alone spend a night,well she got busted ,redhanded.she blatantly did exactly what i said dont do,
i took every privlidge she had,even TOOK her off the cheerleading squad
before ya say mean ol' prick you should know,I told her in simple terms If you do go to this kids house,i will do this,and this and this and that,
she did,and i did what i said i would do.i cut all contact with friends other than In school.for weeks she had ,and i quote 'NO LIFE"
now do ya think i like having my kid feel the anger and hate it brought out?
she has earned some of her privilidges back,NOT all,i let her use the phone,and go places agian,i wont let her near that friend, her partner in crime becuase well,they just aint good decision makers when together and i wont be cheated out of my trust and smile about it.
may i add that she can sit here and smoke a fat doobie if she so desired
and that ive let her friends stay here,and dont ask or care what they do(to some degree) in her room.meaning they can get high crank up nelly and luagh all night,Not that i want them too,but id rather have her here safe,than out there with all the idiots,cuase who knows

kids will push the bounderies to the limits,few know how many risk they take
im hoping when they come of age and are making all the decisions on thier own that they realize i love thm dearly and have devoted the years to them
i could be out jamming in bars and snortin coke with my friends,but yet im here,in case im needed,id rather be playing tunes and getting high but ya know kids need so much more than food and shelter.
