algae help!!!!!
I had green algae form on the soil of my 1st grow, but it didn't affect my leaves. I got rid of it by gently removing the top layer of soil with a spoon. I then made some covers for my pots that stopped light hitting the soil, so the algae was starved of light and couldn't grow.
Someone suggested a way I could remove it chemically...

algae help!!!!!
ta 4 the tips man im gonna try out the el natural method first but if im reading right it presents a whole dif prob wen u cover the soil.
when covered the soil has no way to evaporate the water from the soil.
personally i cant see that bein a prob as the plant will absorb what it needs and the rest will drain off through the holes in the pots, i hav them raised from the floor so as not to be sittin in the excess water, food. then the lights will do natures job and evaporate from the lights, does this make sense lol im thinkin so but need confirmation r the opposite off confirmation lol.
ideas really apreciated:rastasmoke:
