its not the algae killing your soil grow. its you overwatering your plants and keeping that soil top moist everyday to create algae and causing root rot.

Ways to use Hydrogen Peroxide in the Garden

I've had the same problem, if you don't use peroxide you probably won't get rid of it completely

ideas on how to kill algae???

it cant be from over watering/feeding, im on a 2 day feed cycle its my 3rd 4th grow so im pretty sure thats not it.
the person i left in charge off them was using fields off green on the plants wen it wasnt needed to much ntro the plants said it all mayjor burn out, so i hav now changed to water no nutes and the plants have responded with new fresh green leaves startin from the bottom and the rest r startin to look more rehydrated.
i would rather not go with more chems if i cover the soil with proper drainage so as not to leave them sittin in excess water, the algae wont get light n theoretically die, this is more of a question lol i hav a feed chart 4 the peroxide road if need be but ill try coverin up first see wot happens....imp:

Peroxide is hard to call a chemical, or even in-organic. Because peroxide is simply WATER with an extra oxygen molecule (MJ roots LIKE oxygen! :thumbsup

The trick is, as always, Don't over do it.

i think u r right because wen the burn started i started to water daily to flush thinkin it was nute burn,iv repotted and let them fed from the nutes in the soil and most r recoverin i gave them a half dose feed today first time in 5 days thought they needed it as the soil was drin well out,im keepin on top off it so fingers crossed.the algae is gone and hasnt shown signs off retunin yet but ill stick to waitin for the soil to dry out rather than keepin it damp all the time.
