LOL ... or from the UK - lived in Paris for about a year 3 years ago - hated it after 5 months... then moved to Brussels, loved it, Amsterdam for 2 years - had to leave, was starting to loose myself, a few other places, and now Rome (which is much like Paris, and after 4-5 months, enough is enough)...

Rome is also an amazing place to visit, but if you come to Italy stay for about 3 weeks and tour the country - it is beautiful. Start somewhere north live Verona, and drive down through Milan (not great, but amazing shopping), Florence (beautiful architechture and river), Tuscany (all the mountain towns, Pisa and the Leaning Tower of), Rome (Colloseum, Travestere, Spanish Steps, Panthanon, St. Peters, Catacombs, Cistine Chapel), Pompeii (a whole town to wonder round devastated by the eruption of Vesuvius - all happenned so fast that even some bodies were preserved), down through to beautiful Scicily and Sardinia - where you can go to the ever active Mt Etna and look for Lava Flow, or chill on some of the most beautiful beaches, and eat some of the greatest food in the world..)..

Just make sure you learn some basic Italian phases - the universal English disappears the further south you get... especially in the small towns...

OH - and nice to meet you all...
