As I have recently discovered, if you look at this site, and use the quick navigation button, you may find the "growroom setup" topic button. When you do you'll find out you could incorparate either a charcoal filter, or use an ozone maker in line and NEVER worry about that lovely aroma escaping anywhere it's not relished. Really, do look on this site, it has ALL the information that you know you"ll need and more importantly, it has info you didn't know you needed. I also think that the e-book, offered on this site is very good and easy to use, it's called

As others have rightly suggested, as long as you're legal no worries, get a card for sure. Here in NorCal if you grow legal, not only will they quit flying over all the time, they actually said thanks when I invited them to visit my grow. They know about the grow already if it's outside there are satelites remember, good thing your's is inside. But the point is they waste so many resourses, they couldn't wait to check off one grow that was ok. They posted "Null confiscation", and that put me on the "don't need to look here" list. Yay!
Interestingly, my MMJ MD and one of the local ADAs are golfing buds, and my doc recomends more, 2 ozs/wk, he said that 6 mature plants, could perhaps be 8 to 10 instead, especially when the recomendation is for more. Up here they just try to keep up with the Wackadoos who keep trying to grow 300-400 plants on a site! No kidding a local newpaper reported that the local agencies could not count all the grows in a single square mile without having to refuel the airplane! Don't forget to tell your doc that since you are making "medical eatables" you use a lot more, so will need more. Doctors are always happy when you don't smoke, right?

DeeMar10: Go get your medical cannabis card, and go introduce yourself to the cop with your card in hand. Ask him to keep an eye on your place, and thank him for the excellent job he does. Hell, he might even have a friend or two that can pick you up some quality genetics or meds.

But never forget...you don't need a cop next door to get busted. One nosy or angry neighbor or one pissed-off girlfriend is all it takes.

shoot, i wouldnt talk to no cop especially if you have kids. legal or not they will start looking for shit and call it child abuse. less is more people. your right about the other ways to get busted...a wife that wants custody will make a person think twice about cannabis.

those are wise words, however someone always knows. the less that do the better. but to top everyones suggestions, one could bake a batch of cookies for him and then call him in as acting funny. OUR TOP STORY FOR THE EVENING, POLICE OFFICER ARRESTED FOR POT COOKIES.

I was growing a few plants inside in a duplex one time in VERY cannabis unfriendly state and a deputy sherriff moved in next door. I stayed cool and kept growing until he moved out few months later and then the asst. district attorney moved in. and to add to the fun I found a plant growing outside in my yard, had no idea how it got there I just looked down and noticed it one day! I use to party with the cops! We just had a big party and toked in another room! They usually don't mind and that was the '70's. Plus, one was my neighbor. I started a grow in 1978 with about 30 small seeds and they outgrew my kitchen counter. Put them in the yard around the side and back of my house!

I got off work at night (about same time usually) if lucky and was home in my jacuzzi (no clothing on) and the police chopper went by with light at night! I started leaving the lights off.

Months later, I learned, I worked with the chopper pilot. All the P.D. officers worked a second job in the places I worked!

Moral of story---there are no morals. Those guys (and gals) can party better than anyone I know. They have a golden key to a city. They get all the Pizza and other foods they want for free, cause the business owners like their vehicles in the lot, while on duty or off. Oh, plus they carry guns-all the time! Makes for one heck of a party with all the freebies!

They are looking more for dealers, I would think. But then, in many states, sadly some states that do not have legal mmj, have to get it the old fashioned way. Good for those of you that are growing it for the people that need it!

They even had a bar open in the early A.M. for when they got off work and the sun wasn't even up! Did that with um too! Sadly, most of them are lonely and need to get a life!

So, one little plant in the yard Boaz, he was probably waiting for the harvest! Probably didn't even think of what you may have had inside!! Good distraction!

lol that would be classic. and btw, why does anyone else have to know about ur grow? if anyone but urself knows, its because u screwed up and told a friend, invested with a friend, or u got too cocky and told mad people that "u grew this"!

I suggest you try putting the exhaust vent in his head or chest, preferably gouty, and I suggest using a 300 Win. Mag.

I personally take my cooking herbs, put them in a coffee grinder, then sautee it in butter and a small amount of brown sugar until it becomes slightly crispy...grind the herbs again (I use a mortar and pestal) The you have a good base for sweet baking and cooking that has no fiberous texture and has very little if no taste in the finished baked good, saying you didn't use 5 grams per cookie

As for proper ventalation, You need to be able to completely exchange the air in your cabinet in 5 minutes or less. So calculate the cubic feet if your cabinet (L x W x H) and divide it by 5 and your number is the minumum cfm needed to vent your cabinet. As for hiding smells, ionizers work well as do carbon or charcoal filters, but by far the best way is to have a closed circulation system so no air escapes to the outside.

JSG--I can't use coffee (even though, I personally love it), Well, I could get a new one, that would work! but something else that would give a better taste--what about cocoa beans? Now, I am serious. As, I intend to get some mmj down my sister! She takes like 6 different anti-depressants and related meds for side-effects! I think some good Sativa in Am and Indica in PM and she will mellow out and be pleasant for others to be around. Like, some decent cookies all day! She won't tough them is she taste's the pot in them-doesn't like my favorite flavor in the world! Wanted to bake my Turkey with cannabudder, but couldn't!
