The things is I've seen a lot of people say they did not or were not having luck with LED's or the UFO's (same thing?)

What would you think I would need to get to be equivalent to the power of a 400w or 600w HID in an LED's ?
* Edit * I found this info. Do you think it holds true ?

A comparison of power consumption for equivalent growth capability of LED vs. HSP/MV:

* 90 Watt LED ~ 225 Watt HPS/MV
* 120 Watt LED ~ 400 Watt HPS/MV
* 300 Watt LED ~ 650 Watt HPS/MV
* 600 Watt LED ~ 1200 Watt HPS/MV

And the veg/flower stage how does that work then ? Is there a dial on the LED lights that you change for the flowering ? Haha I prob' sound like idiot.

Im not an LED grower, but i can tell you that you go 12/12 with the LED's to flower them. So, the led's do the entire grow for ya, but Str8 knows the led's well, so your in good hands:hippy:

I have a 9x7x10 room which I recently decided to try my first grow! I had a question regarding the lighting sources for vegetative/flowering stages. Here is what I am trying to do. I know I have room for more but since I am a newbie at this I'm starting off at 8 plants. I plan on getting a 400w HPS light. * Would I be better off getting a florescent for the vegetative stage ? * Will this light suffice the vegetative Rating: 5
