Bipolar Disorder

I am 24 and have recently been diagnosed with Bipolar II Disorder and had been a daily smoker up until the onset of my first bought of mnia. Now I am reluctant to smoke bud in fear that it will cause me to have a manic or depressive episode. Is there anyone out there who has used bud successfully? Please elaborate and share any studies that you may have come across.

i use it to help controll the mood swings
they dont happen as often or as sever when im well smoked up.
i no longer take any RX meds for it,they all fialed in my case and brought on major depression,
weed on the other hand,lifts my gloom and helps slow the manic(rapid thoughts)
