So I basically was talking to my friend about how I was posting a new thread on this website, you know? The Rainbow Bridge Poem?

Anyways, she basically just dismissed it and didn't understand why anyone would cry over "an animal."

It's so stupid and I had to rant about this.

Anyways, I just got a little P.O.'ed. Because my mom and I have a pug, and he might have Cushing's disease... So death is a reality to me. And if it isn't, I will always fear the death of my dog, because he's my service dog.

And I told her about the fact that I have my dog for depression, and she just dismissed it. It made me feel really depressed.

I don't understand why anyone wouldn't feel connected to a dog/cat/any animal companion they have had the pleasure to share a piece of their life with.

It ridiculous.

Anyways... I DO understand why she is so rude, because she wasn't raised in a emotionally-accepting society. And she just had a baby a year ago, and I think she's had post-partum depression since the birth.

I notice she's insensitive, and I believe it's because she's unable to understand her own feelings.

Anyways, your input? How would you have handled this phone conversation?

THANKS! x
