    I finally got wheels

About 6 months after my car broke down (beyond fix) I finally got me a vehicle again. My problem is I have love for the old beater types. This new one (that I paid 500 for) has rust on the outside, but the engine is WONDERFUL, and very powerful. I guess I am fitting the stereotype of a southerner considering it's a 4wd. I'm just so happy that I had to post this! It may be an 88 model, but it still has a lot of life as far as i'm concerned.

That's cool man. Beaters get you from point A to point B just like a new car does. Plus you have no payments, lower insurance if you only carry liability, and folks aren't as likely to pull out in front of you either.

I had a rusted out beater from Alaska that I drove around Tucson (where any rust is rare). For some reason, folks in Tucson love to pull out in front of you. They'd see my pos coming and decide against it.

Don't get me wrong I have a couple of problems on it that need to be addressed, but like you said it gets me to point A and back again. Just a second ago (I couldn't resist) I slapped it into 4wd low gear just to see what kinda power this monster had... It didn't disappoint. Oh, my God! I love my big little beater.
