1000w white widow grow

Yes their under my 1000w HP right now witch is what i usualy use for flowering.. But from what their telling me its better if i use my Metal haylide for flowering.. I always thought they were best for veg and HP for flowering but what do i know lol... Ill update my pics later on or tomorrow for sure..

I found the following info on a wikipedia search...

High pressure sodium lamps yield yellow lighting (2200K) and have a very poor color rendering index of 22. They are used for the second (or reproductive) phase of the growth. If high pressure sodium lamps are used for the vegetative phase, plants will usually grow slightly more quickly. The major drawback to growing under high pressure sodium alone is that the plants tend to be taller and leggier with a longer internodal length than plants grown under metal halide.

I've grown with MH/HPS before and have had success. And I hear that you can grow just fine with either/or....it's still light!! hell, people bud plants under cfl's all the time. I'm in a new grow right now using all LED's....check out my thread...I'm still vegging, so soon it will be interesting! :jointsmile:

Hell yea lol i love trying new techniques and or tricks.. I normally veg with a 1000 MH and flower with my HP.. And i also i have a smaller tent with a 400w MH/HP setup so im deff gonna try switching it up (MH for flowering) in there first and see what happens lol.. Check str8outtaweed's grows. He switched from 1000w HID to all LED:

Look at his albums. You'll find a class 1 setup there.

so far I'm loving the LED's....it's been great not worrying about temps all the time. And my babies seem to be loving the light. I have 2 kushes that I already had to trim down....they are growing so fast! Check out my thread "Moodys first LED grow"....
