Moving to Denver metro area, haver a question.
Would anyone care to recommend a particular area of the Denver metro region where the use of medical cannabis is generally accepted and not "shunned" upon by close minded, uninformed individuals? I don't want to make a mistake and move into a "nose in the air" community where the cops are called on me every time the smell of my medicine is in the air. I was thinking either Glendale or Lakewood, but I know nothing of the area.

Basically, you'd have to have a real dickhead neighbor to have any problems. And you can find one of those anywhere!
The only time I've ever had problems living in 12+ different dwellings over -15 years is when I was in an apartment and someone left the door open. We had a criminal living next door who was in various troubles with the cops and he actually called the cops to try to get some kind of deal out of it!! I would say really a perfect shit storm of consequences arose to cause this trouble.
Even in an apartment if you close your door you shouldn't have problems. If you're getting your card who cares! You're legal!Brown-eyed women and red grenadine...

The Highlands area (basically above 23rd Avenue to 44th Avenue between Wadsworth and Federal) is basically a mini-Boulder right now, with lots of dispensaries, health food stores, artisan foodmakers (cheese shop, bread shop, kinda old school), and great restaurants. That's probably the most liberal and tolerant enclave in Denver at the moment.

In order:
Wheat Ridge (contains parts of The Highlands neighborhood)
Lakewood (a little more suburb/country-feeling than the other places)
Arvada (basically north Wheat Ridge, it's a large area though and does have some ruralish areas)
Glendale (right smack in the middle of Denver more or less... all city, doesn't seem like much of a neighborhood in any real sense)
