You are fine with different species of plants. Then there is that .1%- like with fatsia japonica and ivy. Totally different plants from different parts of the world and they can cross pollinate to produce fatshedera! Pollen works like a key- you need the right key to fit the lock. Once in a LONG while pollen "key" "A" will fit flower "lock" "B"- it's just random chance.

But the most probable thing is that there would be no problem! The chances of peppers and cannabis having the same shape key, is VERY small. And I think our Mexican and Asian cannabis growers would have had it happen by now if it were possible!
