Well the only time that you are going to find out if its a girl is when you start to flower. After a couple of weeks into flowering, little white hairs start to grow at every internode. If these hairs stay hairs, ITS A GIRL!!!!
But if these hairs turn into little balls like nut sacks, its a boy
Is the trunk of you plant thick enough to support the growth of buds? As for when to start flowering, 6 weeks is usually long enough to veg then happy flowering!!!

no mate that is not ready to flower does not look as if you have mutch light on it if its took 4-5 weeks to get that big you are in for a long wait its looking good and healthy though, you want it to be about 1 and a half foot 18 inches
at least, how tall is your plant at the min and inbetween the stem and the branches of the fan leaves you will start to see pre-flowers small white hairs if its female and small clusterd balls if male thats when you turn to 12/12 hope that helps..

depends on how much room and time you have, idealt you would want it to get larger. but if you have height issues flower now, it will get plenty big and produce several ounces. and stonner (wtf stonner?) it looks like it is getting adequit lite. it isn't tall because it doesn't need to strech. and indicas, which is what this looks like, are squat plants. looks like it has plenty of leafs and nice structure. looks plenty large for 5 weeks if you assume it is just a smaller indica, which is just what it looks like.

The sex of the pic cannot be determined with the picture. You would need to show close ups of the branch/stem intersection.
I agree it looks like Indica all the way. I also agree its a very very healthy plant.
But I don't think it has any business being forced to flower yet. The stem is far too thin to support any real bud growth yet.
I think your plant is beautiful and very well cared for and I think your should let it veg for another month...at least.
If you want to sex it and save your time if its a male, i would still wait another couple of weeks at least. Then 12/12 it and if its a girl, put her back to veg stage for a month or two even.

Some wait until a Kannabis plant is mature before starting the flower cycle. Waiting for a Kannabis plant to mature before starting flowering cycle is not required.
Good Kannabis Growing!

Hello I'm new here and I've been reading everything with much interest.
Excuse me for my ignorance but there is something I haven't understood yet, can we 'choose' the sex of the plant or it is a factor we can't do nothing about?
thank you

You cannot choose the sex of a plant anymore than you can choose the sex of a human. There are ways that you can alledgedly 'feminize' seeds, yet, the fact remains, that the genetics are in the seed.
Just do the numbers game. In almost all of nature, females will outnumber males 51% - 49%.
So if you want 3 females, plant 7 seeds, and you should be fine.Any posts made by me are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously. If the whole world would think of female significance in the growing of our societies as much as we do for weed, things would be a LOT different by now.
I just can't help making the comparison.
