I will be going with many people. Civic center park is going to be CRAZY-ness. It'll be my 4th time in a row. It's been interesting seeing the park get more laxed. The first year I went, people we getting busted left and right, last year, I could've sworn the cops where high because it was really relaxed. I wish more shops were running specials, I need some heady herb for today

MB... I was wondering what the vibe would be from law enforcement. Way I figured it if there's a decent turnout numbers will be on our side.

I've got the weed, just need somewhere to plug in my vaporizer!!:hippy:rasta:

I tried to post here a few times last night. However I kept getting an error message. Good to see it works again!

A few friends and I, plan to hit the CU boulder 420 event. Last year it was estimated at 10,000 people. They estimate 20,000 this year.

Gerry Garcia died at 4:20pm is what I heard it's all about:thumbsup:. Never heard anything about a police code.:wtf:

I'm no deadhead. However going to high school in Boulder Colo. Led me to know a LOT of deadhead hippies who DID follow the dead toward the end.

When he died, within a month, people in Boulder were smoking up at 4:20 every day in "honor" of him.

My best Deadhead story was,.. I was in the Navy, some friends and I wanted to eat mushrooms because they never tested for that. It just happened that the dead were playing the stadium right outside the Navy base. Being from Boulder, and knowing many people who had gone off to follow the dead. I "guided" a small group of "friends" over to the stadium parking lot to find shrooms. We hadn't been in the lot more then five min when I found one of my best friends ex-girlfriends. She found us a 1/4 within 10 min!

After a few hours staring at a tree, growing out of a retired runway, we watched Up in Smoke in the USO.:hippy:

420 was being celebrated before Jerry passed.
    There's a mystery surrounding 420.
The most prevalent rumor is it started out in Cali. A bunch of community college stoner would gather everyday after/between classes at 4:20 and enjoy some smoke. Slowly the gathering grew & slowly spread to other campuses. It sounds legit to me, as growing up on the east coast, I had never heard of it. Wasn't until about '00 or '01, I heard about it. It's still not well known out on the east coast, which leads me to believe it started somewhere out west.

Just looked it up on Wikipedia: 420 (cannabis culture) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pretty much similar to what I stated above, except they say it was high school kids.
