Trimming tools

Howdy all,

So, I'd been estimating harvest on my first grow right about now (56 days today). However I'm having a sudden burst of last minute growth, Plus, Although mostly cloudy a few days ago. I now have MANY new clear trichs squirting out.

Point is I'm not quite there YET, But will be very soon.

So, I've been trying to find a good set of sheers/scissors, for hand trimming once done. However searches and ebay hunts have given me few (if any) ideas as to what is best.

I'd think longer scissors, with short cutting blades would be best. Even with a tiny curve could be nice.

However where would I find such a thing? Sowing supplies? Bonsai trimmers??

I've trimmed many hundreds of LB's in the past 30 years and have tried dozens upon dozens scissors and I like my spring loaded Fiskars softtouch the best. they are available in the sewing section at wal-mart.app 4 inches long , straight handles [no finger holes] i can trim for hours with no hand fatigue.

yep they work good,they do help with the finger fatigue.but i switch between reg long scissors to cut all big fans then i go to those.vance just remember to keep a sharp knife close by to scrape each side of the scissors ever so often as they will gum up on ya.and save all of it too for sum great scissor hash.

For myself I use a short scissors. Narrow two inch blade, about four inches long total. Got them at a Singer store. Liked them so much a week later I bought three more pairs.

Also depends how you manicure your product. If I have a lot to do I will swich to longer bladed. If I am manicuring my personal, out come the short blades.

Try as many pairs as you can. See what each feels like. Eventualy you will find a pair that feels best to you. Then buy more than one. If you are lucky, you will be spending a lot of time behind them.

:jointsmile:hi vance,for curves try medical supplies/pharmacy.personally i think anything spring-loaded is a gift from heaven.try 1hr without spring-loaded then 1hr with,you'll see what i mean! :thumbsup:

Haven't even considered trimming yet, but I'm gonna look into those spring loaded ones:thumbsup:

I got them today. Both the Arvada and Westminster stores were out. Then I found them up in Louisville.

Then, I found them $4 cheaper in a grow shop in Boulder this afternoon. Those even came with a rubber sheath mine(from Walmart) didn't.:wtf:
