flowering with flourescent bulbs?
Ok so my babies have been vegging 24 7 for almost 5 weeks and are getting to be a decent size. I guess i broke a cardinal rule by not having everything already in place before i started my grow cause i dont have a flower light. Funding just isnt comin along for this led light for my little flower room and my babies are gettin a little too big for their little closet grow britches. I am using two 4 foot, 2 bulb flours from walmart. I have one standard walmart grow bulb and one cool white 3050 lumen 6500K bulb in each. I thought about just starting the flower with these lights. What are the con's i would be facing by doing this? Pros?

flowering with flourescent bulbs?
how tall are the plants? i honestly think your plants would die at the bottom due to light penetration and whispy fluffy buds

flowering with flourescent bulbs?
Flourescents wont work, especially cool white. Since your on a tight budget you probably want to get some CFL's.They're cheap and you can position them pretty well to for light penetration and such. Your buds are deff gonna be fluffy, but with CFL's instead they might be a little tighter.
Also if they're getting to big have you tryed trimming them back some and topping them? It will give other branches more light,as well as you can keep it's height maintained. Plus it will let other branches break through to the top to try and become top colas from all the extra light

Cool white fluorescents work perfectly fine, though I will say those typical T12/T8 bulbs don't do the trick like T5 does.
They're not so large so flower now and just drop whatever light you can around them and as close as possible.

if you're going to flower with flouros get warm white for the red light spectrum. also you should strongly consider LST to increase penetration... no homo

... but as long as some of your tubes/CFLs are 2700k, you should be ok. Get 'em as close to the plants as possible, and use LST techniques up 'till flowering
