Does your supermarket have a reverse osmosis water dispenser? (They fill those water cooler jugs) That with a little Cal-Mag+ (from gardening/hydro stores) is a better bet than the spring water. Give them wet/dry cycles when watering, there is no rule about days, just water thoroughly. Let it dry out until the pot feels light, like there's only dry soil.

Fox Farm soil and nutes seem to work for a lot of people. One thing I have noticed is that when you keep the plant in the same soil for 6+ weeks, the buffers run out and ph drops, and problems arise. Some plants deal with it better than others. You can avoid this by repotting a couple weeks into flower...

And def. invest in some ph up, down and at least some ph strips (the drops are not that good IMO). Milwaukee makes a $20 digital pen that's supposed to work well, that's probably your best option.
