The spirit of the whole of all wholes. Neither a passive nor aggressive, neither a dominant nor submissive, neither an accusatory nor a forgiving being, just the null void, fluctuating and flowing, infinitely without beginning or end.
The evolution of infinity.
To what i believe, there are no words of god that are not spoken directly to us, constantly.
Even the bible says that god "Speaks the world into existence", which goes hand in hand with what i believe, that the ultimate authority doesnt speak to us through the words of wicked men, but through the very fabric of reality itself, we need only open our hearts to listen.

how can i follow a god with a track record as blood stained as the god of the judeo-christian faith and maintain any sense of honor, dignity, humanity?

haze: leme lay on you this crazy game i've been learning...
You see, we're the programmers, but the trick is, we're not supposed to know that we are. the game functions in a way that our every action sort of "builds" the game. the game is smart, smart as we are. and it's in our heads. you see, it knows what we're thinking, so it knows if we're trying to program the game or not.
If it knows we're trying, well man, we arent going to get what we want.
Now, the original programmers, they snuck into the game some secret hints and tricks we can use, but they hid them real well with gibberish and double talk.
So taking into consideration that we're just playin' a game, what does that make you think about the "rules"? :wtf:

Matrix was a pretty cool movie and all, but no. just no.
Matrix, The One, Kung Fu Hustle, good movies for martial arts, and generally float around the same topic: the meaning of life.
I like the immaculate RPG analogy because it is accurate and easily related these days.
God is the lead programmer, jesus is all the players guides and respawn times, and our spirits are us, the players, at the controls, while our avatars are our bodies.
NOW just apply that to real life and viola.... voila....?
i dont know how to spell that word... >.< neither one is wrong either <.>
aanyways, yeah... my overall point was that haze could stand to take a step back and reevaluate it for a moment.
Im not saying that christianity, particularly catholicism, is actually correct, but it IS part of the game, and must have SOMEthing worthwhile there, otherwise no one would have wasted the time, space, or effort to program it into the gamelol
Like i say, there are grains of truth in all things, even lies.

ssw.. i don't believe there is anything for me to re-evaluate. i have delved deeply into studies of the bible and christianity. i am not saying the bible should be wiped off the face of the planet. there are some good principles mixed into it like the beatitudes and such. it shouldn't be destroyed but placed in the FICTION section of the library along with other pieces of literature like Clancy, Shakespeare, and Graham Greene that are meant to be read in a fictitious manner and not literally.
as far as pretending that it is some magic book inspired by god.. well, the world is complicated enough without adding religious fairy-tale. think about it. why do people "believe" the bible is the word of god? ummmm... because the bible says so? it is blind dedication to logic like this that is truly holding the social evolution of humanity back.

Regardless of fact or fiction, their stories should inspire righteousness and good deeds, without expectation of compensation.
I merely posit that all fictions bear grains and threads of truth, that regardless of the credibility or actuality of religious doctrine, regardless of the actuality or credibility of scientific record, these things are available to us to learn from and grow as persons.
Keeping in mind that all parts of the whole bear equally real opposites, religion and science are both equally important and factual, as well as equally fictional and misleading.
Remember not to take the bible literally, when reminding others not to take the bible literally :rastasmoke:

SSW, if I understand you correctly your view of life, the universe, and everything is a like a theory I like to play with. It's called the Astral Slide Theory (c)(TM). It goes like this:
We are all just energy beings that became bored and invented this "reality" to experience (like a game). In order for it to work to the fullest extent, we must forget our actual existence and concentrate on this "existence". Like children waiting for a playground slide, we wait our turn, slide through lives in this reality and then run around to get back in line for another ride.
It pleases me to think that if this is true, ZZ Top wrote the background music for it all.

It's starting to get old...
