Indoor grow
Hi everyone, i figured id post some pics of my grow. Its the first time i actually invested any time/money or trying indoor growing. Theyre about 3 or 4 weeks into 12/12. 2 400w MH and a 250w hps was added when the light schedule was changed. Started with bagseeds, germinated in soil and everything that grew was female(9 plants) pretty lucky i thought. 2 healthy ones were transplanted to hydro, which i know wasnt a good idea but they were still small and it was fairly untramatic. fox farm grow nutrients in the soil, which is promix with a lot of extra perlite and some calmag(suggested by the guys at my local hydro store). the hydros were fed dyna-gro liquid grow. and were kept in high 6s for PH. for flowering ive been using technaflora products from their recipe for success kit for both soil and hydro. not sure how you guys feel about it, but i would suggest this kit to anyone new to hydro. they make it too easy. overall its looking pretty good. cant wait to see how they finish. The only problem i have is ladybugs. a lot of them. This wasnt a problem at first but they seem to be multiplying and i think they are starting to eat my plants.
PS big thanks to everyone on this site. Its an AWESOME resource that has helped me a lot. any criticism or comments are appreciated.sman78 Reviewed by sman78 on . looks like a first rate grow to me. plants look very healthy and happy. kudos sir!! so you have a ladybug infestation? i'm not sure if they eat plants or not. i know they love to eat pests like thrips and spider mites. i guess it's possible if they get hungry enough. i'm sure a bug guy will chime in and let you know. again, nice looking girls!

hi sman78,1st-ladybugs are all good,if something is eating your plants...it is'nt them.but they will be eating whatever is eating them!2nd-why is the p.h. of your hydro's in the high 6's?they should be high 5's-low 6's!!hope this helps. p.s. ladybug larvae can eat up to 100 aphids a day!

Should i be lowering my ph now? or little by little? and there is definetly something eating at the leafs around the middle of the plant. ill try and get a close up of the damage. dosent seem to be a huge issue yet. even the chewed up leafs are nice and green. Also, the ladybugs were always there. And theyre are many more now so they must have something to feed on. Could this mean theyre not the only things living in there?

noticed a typo.. i used oxy-cal slow release calcium and oxygen in the soil, not calmag. not sure if it was beneficial or not, i added it to all the soil plants.
