Several years ago I attended a mental support group for my depression, within three months the group was turning to me for help and motivation, within the next six months people would drop by to share their problem and wouldn't return. There seemed to be a connection I could give to them and it seem to work. One girl in her early 20s said, "Its, been five years since my last date, I'm dating again."
What was I doing that their therapist, psychiatrist or psychologist wasn't able to do or didn't want to do? I was helping them to relate, deal and cope by getting in the middle of their daily activites. Life is filled with ups and downs, its ok if things don't go right. There isn't one person who has it all right, nothing is done right, except for what works for that person.
By sharing my life story with them, showed them they could be doing more with their life, this helped them to reduce stress. Stress is the one thing which is at the top of all mental disorders. Controlling stress will help your son in more way then you can think. Medical Marijuana will help reduce stress in your son. Live in the moment, avoid repitition(habits) new challenges prevents habits from developing, habits allow the mind to wonder around.
Research stress effects on all mental disorders.
