Light question
"Are more lumens better than light temperature (Kelvin)?"
Plants do not care about lumens - lumens as stated for lights is purely for human vision and nothing else, and since human vision is most sensitive to green light (which plants do not generally use in any significant amount) the lumen is weighted by that range, typically at 550-555nm.
Use the CFLs until you're ready to bud then add the HPS as a budding supplement.khyberkitsune Reviewed by khyberkitsune on .
