Help! I ruined my hash!

OK experts. After smoking for 25 years, one would think I knew what I was doing. Here's what I did, I need help...

I had a half ounce of very hard hash. It was hard to break off and roll, so I thought I'd get smart. I put it in my coffee grinder, and ground it too much, right down to a fine powder. Now the powder is too fine. It settles on one side of the joint, the joint runs and is ruined. I can't mix it evenly, again, it settles on one side and burns unevenly.

I've put the powder into a baggie. I then put the baggie into boiling water, and shaped the powder back into a chunk. But it doesn't hold very well, and still turns back into that fine powder.

I think I need advice on what to mix it with so it'll turn into something more normal.

Sounds like some serious side burn you got there !

I would do what you did the the boiling water but you will need something like a compressed mould to really force it into a block so it will hold its shape. Maybe add a little water to it to help it bond back together and then dry it then see what happens ? I havent tried these techniques so i would use a little bit to see if it worked before doing the whole half oz !

Sprinkle it in a bowl of weed.

Don't know if it will work, but the last stage of this hash making guide might be worth trying. Similar to your baggy technique but using a rolling pin and an oven.

Actually on second thoughts a freezer probably won't do what you need to do. It will only dry resin and can possible hold more pieces together but you need a bulk press.

Okay this is what you need to do....

Take some newspaper.
Take an iron.
Heat the iron.
Put the powder between sheets of newspaper.
Press down.

Oils from the hash will be absorbed by the newspaper! Inks from the newspaper will be absorbed by the hash! NOT GOOD!

If you need pressure, perhaps a clean metal garlic press? Or if you go to the hardware store you could cobble up a press like this-
