hi,
i was just wondering if growing in a lock up unit, office or back of a shop is a smart place to do it?
if was doing in 1 of them places i would be getting a grow tent for it, all ducting, lights etc.

Lock up unit as in a storage unit you rent? if so, then hell no your asking to get caught because,i dont even think they even have outlets inside them to plug stuff in. As well as from what it sounds like, your going to be growing on property that isnt yours which is uncool if thats the case.
However if it's your office or shop your setting it up in then be 100% discreet and tight lipped, somewhere noone but you is allowed to go. God forbid you have some hypocritical asshole who finds it.

Have you thought of growing outside? If you ride out some place you have been before and know its not so used. You will get a bigger yield for sure.
And its cheaper too,:rasta:
