Pre-flowering at 6 weeks
I'm going to post pictures later today, I need some better trained eyes than I have to determine sex. I have 2 plants here(among many varying from 2 to 8 weeks in age and 3 different varieties). They are all indoors awaiting outdoor transplantation. All were grown in identical soil and light in windowsills.
How can it occur that 2 plants grown in identical conditions would pre-flower when all of the remaining plants are doing what they are supposed to?.
The 2 plants in question need to be transplanted(desperately). In fact, they were going out today until I noticed this. They look like males, which is fine b/c I have a location 10 miles away from females for male seeding. Perhaps root bind caused them to stress and pre-flower?.
Any input from you experienced growers would be much appreciated.

I can only upload 5 at a time here. Pics 1 and 2 are my question plants. The other 3 are all vegetative.

I don't have great vision:...but, pics #1 & #2 appear to be male. Pics #3-4-5...you can't see anything looking down from the top...you have to look from the sides.

Yep, both 1 and 2 are males...a day later and now I can see the immature pods. Both plants are quarantined and going to the designated male, let them grow wild plot I set aside. No other plants are showing sign of sex yet. They normally don't until July when I start checking with a magnifying glass.

males, nearly always show first...cause, their duty is done after 3-4 weeks of flowering. I assume they die quickly, as summer goes along?

Yes and no, males do show first...but they will exist on their own well into Fall.

Interesting, I'm guessing I have more than a few here that will turn into hermaphrodites. One of the strains came from a hermie mother, but the potency was so high that I couldn't pass up doing a second generation.
