100W HPS - 3 Gallon Res. - ScROG Grow
Thanks 420, ill need it :thumbsup:
Well this is my first try at ScrOg, but i can tell you what i have done so far..
I let the plants grow free until about the fourth-fifth set of alternating branches appeared.
Then i positioned the screen so that it sat on the set of fan leaf branches 1-2 nodes down from the top; and allowing the top of the plant to stick thru an inch or two. then i fastened the screen into place.
Now, you just push the top under the screen, to the next available hole. this will cause the side branches to reach the screen. Continue to train all branches as they grow to far past the screen. after about 2 weeks flower, they should slow down on branch growth.
Now, if its an unknown strain, u could begin flowering as soon as u reached the screen, as the amount of stretch is unknown during flower. This will allow you to see how much the plant will strech, as well as how much of the screen will be filled. I waited til 25% was filled, which may have been too late :wtf:
Too late > tops will grow past screen too much before they start flowering
*I would have liked to put the screen a little lower, but the plant grew faster than i gathered supplies
*I also compared a topped plant to normal one, and it seems the topped plant bushed outward too much for MY grow ( < 2 sq ft )
Hope this makes sense :stoned::stoned::stoned:
