Right now the wait for your actual red card is 5-6 months. The good news is that it will be dated on the issue date not the date of your referal or when it was recieved.

There have been situations where people's applications have been refused because of errors. If you were careful do not be too concerned. They are required to turn down applications within 30 days. Ofcourse, they are not able to handle all the applications, but if you have not heard from them by 60 days odds are you are fine.

Because of the long wait for your acutal card, the majority of dispensaries and caregivers will accept your Dr referral along with your application, proof of payment to the state and proof of mailing.

Got my doc approval a few months back and mailed my app with all paperwork trying to be very careful to ensure all was filled out right and all. Now I am about 8 weeks from the date of receipt of app and wondering if it is at least accepted... so nice to be able to get meds legally and I get paranoid that the app will get rejected for some minor technicality - do they reject many apps and if so, then what do you do to re-apply - I imagine you Rating: 5
