waitin' for the card
54 year old grateful legal med user here. Got my doc approval a few months back and mailed my app with all paperwork trying to be very careful to ensure all was filled out right and all. Now I am about 8 weeks from the date of receipt of app and wondering if it is at least accepted...
so nice to be able to get meds legally and I get paranoid that the app will get rejected for some minor technicality - do they reject many apps and if so, then what do you do to re-apply - I imagine you need a new doc rec and all? I read one post of the poor guy that had his app rejected for the notary signature overlapping the seal or some crap... got my old head a cookin' about mine...mesinco Reviewed by mesinco on . waitin' for the card 54 year old grateful legal med user here. waitin' for the card
Right now the wait for your actual red card is 5-6 months. The good news is that it will be dated on the issue date not the date of your referal or when it was recieved.
There have been situations where people's applications have been refused because of errors. If you were careful do not be too concerned. They are required to turn down applications within 30 days. Ofcourse, they are not able to handle all the applications, but if you have not heard from them by 60 days odds are you are fine.
Because of the long wait for your acutal card, the majority of dispensaries and caregivers will accept your Dr referral along with your application, proof of payment to the state and proof of mailing.
Good Luck

im about 4 months out and they just cashed my check, just relax and be patient...patient.
unfortunately after 60 days dispensaries you have not been to may deny you access because you do not have proof of payment.

waitin' for the card
I am still waiting for mine, they recieved my application on 11/2. My wish is that the issue date on my card will be 4/20. If I have to wait 5+ months it's the least they can do hehe.

The CDPHE admitted that since they can't process applications by the 30 day limit, they may be opening themselves up to potential lawsuits.
