    That is assuming that she gains the Governership............

    I am not a political person but NONE of the candidates that I have seen have addressed this issue publicly.

    On a personal note, I don't get into these issues very much but I KNOW that my vote will be based, in part upon, the PUBLICLY expressed views on medicinal marijuana.

    It is one thing to "discuss" this issue with individuals in a private forum....it is an entirely different subject when addressed in an open public fashion.

    Can I say that I want Gary Johnson back?????

    <rant mode>
    with both non-profits I'm on board with got nearly identical rejection letters at the last review, it's clear that we won't see any more producers anytime soon, at least to me. My prediction is January 2011.sorry kids. and even sorrier is that the new producers will be a stone's throw ( sorry) from santafe

    Since the office is so understaffed, who is going to inspect the producers to assure they aren't selling mold weed, or worse commercial schawg they buy from somebody else? The program is underdesigned in many areas for accountability.

    This may be just another reason no remote location dispensers have been approved. Who's going to pay the staff or provide a state car to inspect (gasp) a marijuana production facility when our schoolkids go hungry?..when the railrunner stations have litter on them? It's a day trip minimum and who wants to drive on some badly paved road anyway?

    The article says nothing new, except a nice plug for an internet radio station.

    Find a link to contact your local and state reps in another post of mine. This in my very humble opinion is the ONLY way to get some movement. See my other posts for specific rantings and facts on the politics of this program. I had higher ( sorry) hopes for this when I selected two non-profits to join.

    if not for the federal problem, the state could produce all we need and distribute it thru licensed liquor stores or (gasp) pharmacies, but no doubt the local drug store only wants to give vicodin to housewives..they don't want a bunch of stoners showing up in wheelchairs looking for medication.

    I agree with most of what you're saying,but I must clear up something you stated about no remote location dispensers.
    One of the Producers is located in the Grants area(unless they have moved since).That's pretty remote in my book.

    far from remote, it's right on interstate 40 maybe 2.5 hours from santa fe. Try driving out to Reserve some time if you think grants is remote, you'll have a eye opening experience driving out to reserve.

    not that this was really the main point of my ranting...

    but I've opted not to hijack this thread on another of my rants for now.
