I suspect that your "security measures" were not acceptable to them or maybe not detailed enough for them.

Sam....
Did you state that you were going to grow OUTSIDE? I am POSITIVE that there are folks that can help you with your application just let us know (without divulging your address etc) on what you put on it. Didn't you mention that they were asking for more information on the property or am I mistaken?
I am glad that you are resubmitting. Like I said earlier, I KNOW that there are folks that can help you, but you have to be a bit more specific so that the assistance can be given!!!!
Good luck buddy....I have been following your plight for a while now and I am glad you are back on. I hope that the Easter Meal went well at your home.

The Easter meal was a hit.

I am ashamed to admit that I didn't even put down what kind of grow it was going to be. For the SECOND application I made sure that I mentioned it was an indoor grow in a back room with locks and video cameras. Which is the God's truth. I have three webcams and a metal door with two locks. I also sent a google map showing my neighborhood. Which isn't really a neighborhood considering that my neighbor to the south is actually the San Juan River. I also made sure they understood that all of my neighbors are relatives and that I live way out in the sticks.
There was absolutely no information in the email stating why I was denied. I wrote back and got a response that MAYBE I didn't put down enough detailed info about my grow area and home.
Thanks for all the support and concern. I really appreciate it.

Sam,
I am drooling over the eggs!
I have spoken with a few folks here and other sites about this entire issue of medicinal cannabis. I am doing my homework as I am literally out of options at this point (pharmaceutically) .
I am glad that you decided to resubmit your application!
I have NO insight into the program in the state. What I can surmise is that the state does NOT want some sort of indemnity passed on to them. I happen to agree with that, and in the current atmosphere of litigation, I believe that others would as well.
Think of it this way.....if the state approved people that do not OPENLY divulge (to the DOH) that they are going to grow something that is currently "illegal" on the federal level (and keep it PRIVATE so as others will not discover their medicinal grow), WHY on earth would they subject themselves to a possible situation in which they could could face some sort of repercussions from the federal level? I believe that they want to "cover all their bases" in respects to possible federal "legal issues"....just take a look at the plant limit for producers. If the state was NOT concerned, they would allow producers to grow plants that are above the 95 plant limit. (NOTE: I have not been able to find a federal statute that specifically discusses this point. John Monad and I have talked about this briefly, but cannot find the specific rationale for the 95 plant limit for producers)
I feel a bit hypocritical when I even DISCUSS this subject. I TRULY believe, as I am sure MANY of us do, that cannabis SHOULD be available to the people that could gain a benefit from the effects of this substance??? I am torn between the FACT that our state allows individuals to be treated with cannabis, but I also STRONGLY believe that this should be a PRIVATE area in which people take care of themselves. Hence the "hypocritical statement.....since it is a PRIVATE matter for me, I shouldn't even be discussing this with people on the internet. Hell, I don't advertise all of the medical conditions I have, nor do I publicize the fact that I am considering producing my own medicine.
With all of that being said, since we live in a state that allows medicinal cannabis, we should ALL take a little bit of time and try to educate our legislators and acquaintances on the benefits of medicinal cannabis.
Ok....I am off of my "soap box" for now....BOTTOM LINE, I am glad you resubmitted your app Sam!!!! I am VERY hopeful that with your new information, the state will approve you (as Cool mentioned), especially after you took the time to outline your growing situation!
Keep in touch and let us all know how this turns out for you!!!!
