    LED UFO 90 Grow

I have grown like that once. Just like ForgetClassC said I used another bucket when changing nutrients.
When the plant starts drinking a lot I stopped changing buckets. It seemed to drink a bucket in a day or two. I just topped fed the plant with the proper nutrients and let it drain to the bottom.

I just re-read your post, you do use two buckets, its when you are changing the buckets you are having trouble... Your root mass must be massive.
Mabey next time drill a hole in the bucket you can use as a drain and then just top feed the nutrients so they fall to the bottom.
The picture looks good. I was actually wanting to see how much it stretched. It did not stretch to much. That is a good thing. The LED light you are using is working nice.
Thank you for posting a picture.

    BONUS GROW....
    Nirvana ShortRider (autoflower) from seed.....vegged 4 weeks....4week into flowering....Aerogarden Classic....tomato setting....standard Aerogarden nute tab schedule...2- 45 watt glowpanels.....2-12watt glowpanels.
    Plant is 23" tall.
I removed the stock light off the Aerogarden and used leds from seed.
Short Rider did not autoflower (swithched to 12/12 - 4 weeks into grow)
Areogarden reservoir too small to handle even one plant.(solid blanket of roots covering the entire reservoir)
Trimmed all large fan leaves to allow light to penetrate inner buds.
Their stock nute tabs seem a little strong. Almost all leaves canoeing but doesn't seem to hurt bud production.
Although plant is laden with hard popcorn buds, I'll use the Aerogaden in the future for its intended purpose. (go basil )

nice! so is the side lighting necessary because the led's don't penetrate the canopy very far? i'd like to use something more energy efficient, but i like the yield of hid.

Usually side lighting is not needed, but in this case I'll give her all the help I can:jointsmile:

I found with smurfberry by Sag that those ruderalis crosses like haystack's root like mothafuggers.

    This looks very nice.

For your fat bushy baby under the UFO, I would suggest giving it some side lighting like your taller plant. When that baby explodes for flowering, you're going to want the extra side lighting, trust me. No need to buy more UFOs, those cheap panels like what you have around the other pant will do the trick just fine, you just don't want to use those for primary overheads!

khyberkitsune, any suggestions on how to mount side panels in grow tent?
The plant is touching all 4 sides of tent.
Do you think 2 - 12 watt panels are enough or should I use 45 watt? (I generally use the 45's to start seeds and first couple weeks after sprout)
    TIA

Whichever has the better penetration, and I'd bet on that being the 45w panels.

    2-1/2 weeks into 12/12.....about 4" of stretch......and about 6" in girth.
Will add 2-45 watt panels for side lighting after shortrider has finished (@ 2 weeks) Thanks for the advice.
Very happy with Nirvana seeds. Have grown Aurora Indica - ShortRider - and Northerm Lights. All healthy with no probs and 100% germination. Averaging 70% females, following methods posted here on how to achieve more females.
(sorry, but forgot who the poster was)
    Next grow will be Bubblelicious.
