Hey, waitwhaaaat - thanks a bunch for the info. This was very cheap and easy to do! I had luck with the same ReliOn Thermometer, but the next model over- the 9 sec.flexible, water proof version for just a couple bucks more.. 9 bucks total I believe.. it was a little harder to jack than the standard ReliOn, but I just snipped the black and it silenced the speaker.. but the model I grabbed is SUPER fast. ...and while I was practicing, I accidentally dropped it in the water, and the waterproofing came in handy

Ultimately, I learned if you take your last digital temperature reading just as you leave your car to go into the lab, and you're running about 98 deg.. it's more than safe to just leave the digital in the car, crotch the bottle without the heaters and the temp is good to hold for more than enough time to test.. that was my experience anyway. For peace of mind though, just having the silent digital on hand can't be beat and the tip was really appreciated. Thanks

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Make a Digital Thermometer Silent sup guys, My story: Between subbing and diluting, I myself did both - but with the large amount of posts saying "I came back dilute" and "they told me to retest ASAP", on the last day, I decided to go with Quick Fix 5.7. As most know, temperature is the #1 obstacle with subbing and 99.9% of the time, if you clear that, you're home free. So, it makes sense to invest in a digital thermometer and making it silent. This post is for those out there who couldn't find a silent thermometer and Rating: 5
