The fact is the government is much more involved in stopping marijuana from being sold that with beer.
The government allows the sale of beer.
The government does not allow the sale of marijuana.
People here somehow believe that police putting you in jail for using weed is more free than them allowing us to drink beer...
Ask a college professor if he thinks illegal items would be more expensive if they became legal.
Ask a college professor if he believes you are less free in a society that does not put you in jail for what you consume.
It's pretty obvious to anybody that is educated... even in the slightest.

No one is arguing the facts that pot is illegal.
Please dont confuse the two.
There is an "illegal free market" and a "legal free market".
The grey area is when you become a patient. It is legal to obtain your meds any way possible including the black market. But it is not legal to do so if you are not a patient.
Now lets get into the market system since we now seperated the legality out of the mix.
A TRUE free market is a market that is governed by supply and demand, not a market that asks the government to interfere with supply and demand.
Now that it is broken down like this, I hope you see there is a free market system and depending on whether you are a patient permitted or not will depend on whether you partake in this free market system legally or not.....
simple as that.

A market is not free when the government prohibits it and puts you in jail for participating.
This is absolutely ridiculous.
This is a big reason the drug is still not legal.
Many stoners, like yourself, actually believe its better to have the government controlling what we are allowed to consume.
Not sure how people got the notion that it's better to throw people in jail for victimless crimes than to legalize it... but somehow you did.
And, why haven't you spoken bad about the poor quality of beer we have in this country, and the outrageous prices because of that stupid government allowing us the freedom to consume and sell it in an open market?
Shouldn't we throw everybody in jail that drank a beer?
After all, with less competition and only criminals producing, that will of course drive prices down, and quality up, right?

For one, you dont know me..and for another, you dont know how much jail time I have done for our glorious medicine.
I sort of feel insulted arguing with someone that has been alive barely as long as I have grown pot.
Until you wise up and walk the walk, your talk is cheap.
You are just a baby in a mans world. Grow and give away as much pot as I have then you will have just a touch of my respect...until then, have a nice one..and burn one for me
