    One Step Closer!!!!!!!!

    Sandia,Karma...Thank You!

Karma I really appreciate you sharing that. I was pondering whether I should start a thread and flat out ask if anyone was or had been in the same situation. What you say on keeping it secret makes a lot of sense to me. It reminds me of my guns, wait for it...When I got them I broke them down and thoroughly cleaned them and when I was done I brought my daughter in and said here it is,hold it,touch it now when I'm here,it is a gun, nothing special. I of course don't want her having the curiosity that ends up killing so many kids every day in this country. I keep the shells in a separate place and I have the bolt on the Mauser out still.

I would damn near shoot myself if I found out she was smoking Cannabis in middle school because of me. My wife has also said that we just have to educate her on why I use it. When she turns 21 I would smoke w/ her,at least she wouldn't be puffing dirt weed with who knows what kind of snake oil in it. She is almost 10 and I just feel she is going to be hell on wheels when she is 13! I also know that I hate it when she catches me taking pills(damn I hate that word!!). She senses something is wrong w/ me and I HAVE to get a hold of it and be more "normal".

Again Thank You for sharing. I'm certainly all ears for more suggestions

Oh yeah my Dad works in corrections and has been brainwashed so much over the last 20yrs.It has caused so much grief between us.He was in one of my accidents that contributed to my PTSD and he caused a lot of pain when I was a kid but I love him,he's my dad. We actually just started talking again after another 2 yr hiatus and he admits to a lot of the things that caused us to fight and he realizes that he too got smacked in the head and isn't himself.
We used to go at it with fists, rocks, whatever. Mostly it was me defending myself and damn I could have killed him at times. I was so weak, never fought back with objects and I could never live knowing that I killed my dad, regardless. Everything happens for a reason and it looks like we will now have a loving relationship. All he had to do was say he was wrong and he has.

Karma, I think you said that better than anyone could. I have a 5 year old son and I honestly couldnt agree with you more. If you shelter them, they will rebel. As long as you keep an honest an open mind, its all gonna turn out ok. Good luck in your decision Chance, and good luck to you Sandia. I hope you both get to medicate soon!

Hey Fire, good to see you on. I don't want to shelter her as much as I was but it seems like such a high wire act to me and dang I'd be crushed to say the least if I did it wrong.

I sure as heck rebelled or so I thought.I think a lot of it was just self medicating. It's a fine line but one I'm going to have to walk. My,our, quality of life is non-existent about now. I have faith and I will keep my chin up,if not for myself for my family.

    Thanks for your input Firestaata!!

I don't know about you guys, but do ya think that if you were trying to be one of the pioneers in this field within NM, you would take the time to make sure you met the requirements?????? I sure as hell do! So while some applications may have a slight issue.....I would SERIOUSLY doubt that they all do.

I don't mean to interrupt, but from what I understand people are having a difficult time with the application process because the MCP is so new that the state doesn't even know exactly what they require. It's hard for the applicants to provide info when the state is learning from the applicants. That's what I gather from the problems my buddy is having with his app. Seems to be a learning experience for all involved. Just thought I'd shime a light ,albeit a dim one, on the application problems. Hopefully Dr. Vigil gets things moving since the patient/producer ratio isn't matching their guideline on that.
cannabis.com SUCKS ASS... The mods are truly a joke. If you are wise you will leave and not return.

I am in a different situation as I do not have children. What you have stated, and how you stated it, really touched me. THANK you for sharing that openly. I respect you tremendously for doing so!

Cool....things are moving along fairly smooth now. If the folks on the site had not helped me this whole process probably would be much more stressful!! Hope all is well with you!

I'm here to help, what ever I can do.

My daughter and I had a talk today. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. She does excellent in school and she realizes that a scholarship is in reality the only way she will go to college.

I advocate young people smoking Cannabis as much as I do them drinking. She really seemed to grasp the whole developing brain approach.

Thanks again for the input. This is so huge and I have to go natural real soon and I really appreciate it!

Hell yeah, congrats Chance. Times are a changing  I was raised with the "not till your 21" approach and my brothers and I all turned out allright. At least none of us are in jail or anything you know? An open mind can change the world :stoned:

Thanks Fire. I turned out okay as far as being in trouble with the law. Yeah I got popped for possession once(greens) and once for illegal trespass(goin back for another beer!). I had my first drink @ 16 but it never was my thing at that age,I preferred Mary but only got really "stoned" until I was a senior in HS. My self medicating didn't start in force until I was 20,full force! I say g-damn the pusher man!

Been fishin? I didn't go up due to the damn wind but I'm itchin to run into some Whites or dare I say Stripers! Damn I love hookin onto them Stripers. My pop's is goin to Mexico @ the end of the month.Any idea on how long it takes to get a US id? I've had 2 passports but I don't know if that would matter or if the id's even have to go to Houston for issuance. Damn it I got the fever man, those Large Mouths hit hard and so so often down there.

MONSTER cats too! We set a trot line w/ ocean hooks and leaders and I shit you not that was the first time I've seen a hook that big bent damn near straight. First Blue Cats I've ever seen. I know that lake has some 100#ers in it,easy.

Off topic, happens when I talk about fishin!

Thanks for the input as always.
