I gotta agree with stra8. This is your first grow. It will be a total learning experience. Try a few of both. See what does better. If you make mistakes (and you will) you will soon find out what works and what doesn't. Next year you will be better and learn what corners you can cut and ones you can't. Give it a shot. Be carefull and you will do fine.

I've never grown before so i'm a bit nervous ... He told me the reg grows like weeds ( no pun intended ) so should I get the reg cuz it grows better?
