Mutually assured destruction is a comforting phrase for me, and reminds me that we'll always see powerful countries pointing big guns at each other and growling, but that none will fire. The moment the U.S. casts away even a couple of its nukes and takes its boot off the world's balls, I'll have a little respect for their moralizing against nuclear armament. It's like how when Iran even thinks about developing that way everybody goes apeshit, while it's fine for Israel.
