Are they ready yet? Your opinion appreciated!

This is my first hydro grow and really only my second grow but I am wondering if these look ready to you. I plan on starting my flush at the end of the week, and continue for the last week, then cut em down. The trich's are still clear mostly, few are opaque but none are amber. I am looking for the highest THC levels. I have 4 different strains in this grow. Skunk Monster, Lime, Blueberry and Master Kush. The Lime and the Blueberry have the most opaque trich's but the Skunk Monster doesn't have many red hairs yet and has the least opaque trich's. I am in week 8 of flowering.

I think they need one more week, how about you? Thank you for replying.

Without micro shots of your trichs, we really can't tell if your done or not.

I've read, once your all cloudy you've reached your harvest window(the most THC). Then as you get more amber, your getting more of the degraded THC (CBN, CBS,CBC,CBL) as they change. Thus causing more couch lock.

Once your all cloudy, your ready to decide if you want to harvest now (for a heady high), or later (for couch lock). side note: Sativas give a better heady, Indicas give a stronger couch lock.

Every strain has a different harvest window. Indicas can be ready in as little as 50 days under an HID. Where as Sativas tend to take 80+ days. All of our crosses (thus your variety) will finish at all differing times.

Thus your only hope is watch each plant for amber. When you see the amount of amber you want for that plant. Harvest just that plant. Do not assume that because one is ready the other strains are done too. Each one will take different times.

If you have a desire to get both heady AND couch lock.

Figure out which of your strains is most Sativa, then harvest that as soon as you see ANY amber. for your Heady high.

Then figure out which is more Indica. Let those get more amber. For your couch lock.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the responses my friends. I understand you can't determine the exact time that my plants are ready, it really depends on what I am looking for from the plants. I just don't want to cut them down too early. I really just wanted a little reassurance that they weren't WAY too young to be cutting down.

I have a micro that I can look at the trich's, but can't take pictures with it. I think I have a good idea about when to cut, I have read and been told that 20-30 percent milky/opaque trich's are what I am looking for when it is time to harvest. Then, by the time the trich's go completely opaque, the dry and cure is complete, and hopefully the highest THC levels. Thanks for the advice, hopefully I can time that with my flush since they all are growing in the same tray.

I will watch each plant and harvest when the plant tells me its done. I am looking for a little variety in the effect so I think I will harvest when fully opaque trich's and let some go amber just for fun. Thanks for your replies and advice.

Thanks Tiny, I did a lot of reading here and elsewhere. Built my grow room with all the goodies. Low humidity here and I am in the basement with fresh air ducted to 1000HPS and sealed room with great exhaust ventilation. I plummed water in and use my sump pump reservoir in the corner for my drain.

My first grow was a disaster. But I set myself up for it. I had horrible conditions with too hot of light, not to mention I did very little homework. Put little effort in, get poor results out.

This time I built my room top of the line. It was expensive but it grows good plants so far. I also added on a mother/clone room separated by plastic and velcro.
