smart idea??? or very dumb???
so if you did a 20-8 schedule so its never recurring to the electric company , would this affect growth in any way? i think itd be great, you could just put a timer for 20-4 into a timer thats on 20-4. so it would shut the timer off for 4 hours every day to make it lag into a 20-8 (get me?)
any tips/ suggestions would be appreciated.....keenan7899 Reviewed by keenan7899 on . smart idea??? or very dumb??? so if you did a 20-8 schedule so its never recurring to the electric company , would this affect growth in any way? i think itd be great, you could just put a timer for 20-4 into a timer thats on 20-4. so it would shut the timer off for 4 hours every day to make it lag into a 20-8 (get me?) any tips/ suggestions would be appreciated..... smart idea??? or very dumb???
and i realized putting the 20-4 into a 20-4 would create problems, it would lag the four hours while the other is off, so it might mess with the time of lighting (i.e. turn them off 2 hours early whatever)
but i just mean the point, if i can get a way to make that time is it beneficial?
or do the electric companies not know what time its used,
i live in a 1 bed apt doing about 600 total watts, with fans included.

Why are you thinking of trying to hide the power use? I mean 600w isn't much, it could be a tv or computer for all they know, and they can still notice a pattern whether it's on a 24hr day or not. Better use of your brain power would be to worry about the eventual smell in that 1br...Just my 2c

The only thing I would recommend regarding the time of day would be to avoid using your lights during peak consumption, incorporate having your lights off between the hours of 5pm to 7pm. That will save you some cash.
This does not mean to have your lights out for only 2 hours. Use the recommended photo periods, 12/12, 18/6, & 24/0. Messing around with your photo period will cause your plants stress!!:hippy:
