Can you use meds in a APT in Denver?
I'm about to move to Denver and was wondering if anyone knew of any apartment complexes that allow you to use your meds in their dwelling. I don't know much about Denver, so if most people don't really care about the smell then I'll just do it anyway. Please PM me with the apartment names instead of putting them out on the board, thanks.

From what little I know about apartment complexes, I think as long as you're a patient and are doing so in the privacy of your own apartment - they would be fine with it. I know a few leasing agents and they're all patients too. Growing maybe a different story, but I think as long as it's for personal use (i.e. a small grow cabinet) & again are a patient - should be fine.

Can you use meds in a APT in Denver?
I do not know of any apartments that have announced they are medical marijuana friendly but I did recently see an ad on Craig's list for a small 2 bedroom house where the landlord states he is MMJ friendly and had no problem with a small personal grow in the house.
I think the key is discretion. Many apartments have thin walls so sounds and smells will travel. I would not consider growing in an apartment because of how easy it would be for the smell to travel and I would be more inclined to use a vaporizer in that circumstance.
At this point I would not be eager to share MMJ status with a landlord. I am sure there are many out there that do not care as long as you pay the rent, but since there is still a hysteria surrounding MMJ I would keep it on the down low. Maybe after getting to know your landlord, showing you are a good tenant, paying the rent on time and keeping then place up, then I MIGHT speak of MMJ.
Good luck and keep us posted how it goes.

Carbon filter + 265cfm blower. Turn it on anytime you smoke and it will scrub your air clean....

Back to the OP's question, from what I've seen on these MMJ forums, many MMJ patients are using and even growing medical marijuana in apartments in CO. Its not necessarily safe, and you will be probably be evicted if caught (at least by the corporate apartment complexes in the Denver area.) But keep it quiet and with some air filters and you can do what you want in the apartment. :rastasmoke:

One thing I see time and again, if you have a grow, don't tell ANYONE about it. I recon that would hold double true if it is in an apartment. :hippy:

Carbon scrubber is a good idea and can be found pretty cheap on eBay.
Small one would be ok for the occasional smoke.
Growing is a different story. Again would recommend a small stealth grow cabinet, with scrubbers for sure!

We live in a an apartment. Management enters about three or four times a year to replace batteries in smoke detector and check furnace/AC filters.
IIRC - Management only has to give 24 hr notice and they can enter a rental for "inspection". Nearly all rental management companies have a "Drug Free" clause in the lease. We rent through Carmel and were we to be evicted under that clause would be blacklisted from any Carmel properties. And too consider that landlords ask for referrals from your last place.
Bottom line for me... Be discreet and stay under the radar until we buy a home. I'd love to grow but won't risk discovery.
Better yet... legalize it- legalize it - legalize it. No one shouldn't have to worry about this sh*t in their home. Whether rental, owned, or other.\"Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man\'s appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.\"

Thank you everyone for your reply's. Everyone is so helpful on here, I really appreciate it. I guess I wont be too worried about smoking in the apt as long as people mind their business and don't call the cops and such when they smell my meds. I'm not sure how uptight people are in Denver, I lived in Texas for several years, and I really need say nothing further about that....
