what light to start with?

what kind of light should i start out with for veggetation stage? only for 2 maybe 3 plants....also what's the cheapest way to go about it???

cfl...daylight or 6500k....cheap but make sure you get the most wattage...those little 300 watt EQUIVELENT do nothing....get an actaul 100watt or better

i'm using 2700k light for vegging right now because i couldn't find the 6500k ones in the right sizes or watts. i've heard mixed opinions about this. some say they grow better and healthier in the 2700k light and they won't streth for light as much....any feedback is greatly appreciated:rastasmoke:

There are some variables involved, but generally 6500K prevents stretch and works much better for vegging than 2700K. 4 foot shoplights work fine if you have some handy. Keep them close (1-2") and near the middle of the tube's length where they're stronger. HTH, Hermie
