Integral to my plan is a UPS backup power supply that will power the pump, fan, and a backup cfl. The grow will be less than two feet from the computer where I spend 16 hours a day, seven days a week.

On a final note, do I detect a rift in the hydroponics world? I noticed that there is a group who are sold on TAG, and I sense from your reply that pure hyroponics-ers look down on aeroponics / NFT.
